"What is the relationship between a student's preferred learning style and the development of their digital literacy skills?" This research question would be a Causal-comparative research type as you have no control over the different learning styles a student prefers or the development of their digital literacy's. You would need to capture data about both of these and attempt to explain/find a relationship between the two.
Follow up the previous research question... "Will allowing primary school students, esp. young ones, use calculators be helpful or harmful to their learning results in mathematics?"
As to research method, it seems it is easier to be done using quantitative approach
For example, we can do a controlled test, allowing some students to use calculators in homework and study and banning the use of it for some other students. Academic results of the two groups are then compared and correlation calculated.
Hi I'm Lee-Anne. I've been in Hong Kong 7 years now, working with the ESF at West Island School. I am currently employed as the Learning Technology Co-ordinator. What this means is that I work with staff and students to integrate ICT into the curriculum in a meaningful way - with the aim of improving not only teaching, but the learning process for students. For the last 3 years I've been working on using Learning Platforms and integrating Web2.0 technologies into these. Our podcasting projects this year have been hugely successful.
I am Allen (K. L. Lam). My expertise is in IT system design and development. My particular interest is in the application of networking. I developed various network applications for schools and libraries, including development of SLS and some applications in HKU Library.
Hello, I'm Iris Wu. I'm a Secondary school teacher. I got great interested in computer graphic design, and I would like to integrate ICT in Visual Arts teaching and learning.
